Hi Rick! That is a very "buildable" looking kit ... very safe in your capable hands! And what a great subject! I will look forward to the building process, always a source of great information and wonder... Any thoughts on the main wing finish? Dark Green or streaky 4-colour over wood or faded and maybe a combination? The choice is yours, really! Regards, Marc

This is certainly a very buildable kit as you said! Just look at the build Des did on the Home Page for proof! As for the wings I am going with the streaky 4 color. Green/brown uppers, blue/lilac unders. I have been at least Semi convinced this is correct since the old Aerodrome discussion. On the other hand I think there is room for interpretation since many photos just look like a plain color...Fokker Olive would be a good choice  ::) It was the 4 pigments listed in the bill of lading, and the rare couple of photos that clearly showed a demarcation between colors that made me lean this way!

Yep, A WNW EV would still be welcomed  ::) That being said I think I can make this one look pretty good  :-\ I appreciate the encouragement Amigo!

Pity TVAL opted for the traditional olive green wing:

It is a pity because you would have thought they'd have gotten that right. Oh well...

 Rick,
Looking forward to her tri-colored wing my friend. One question though, are you planning to texture the wing as well?

Gregory,
Thanks for asking that question! I have been contemplating the texturing process. I would welcome any thoughts from my fellow modelers on how to  achieve the best results!

 Rick,
It's not too difficult to texture the wing. What I did back in the day at Aerodrome was too draw out the internal structures then remove the plastic between then structures. I used my trusty Dremel tool too lightly dish out the spaces but you can use an knife as well. With this done you just need to sand it down a bit. Be careful if you use a Dremel not to over do it. You want slight dips visible between the internals not big ones. I hope I'm being clear enough to be understood. I still have difficulties organizing my thoughts some days.

Thanks Gregory. Yes you were quite clear. I guess I have a whole bunch of lines to draw on the undersurface. As for the uppers I have not noticed the effect like on the unders. Is it stressed and I am just missing the effect in the photos?

 Rick,
I textured both the upper and lower surfaces on mine. I'm sure I asked about this on the Aerodrome at some point. Likely why I textured both.Which ever you do you'll be in for a lot of work. Looking forward to seeing what you've done.

A small update: I have begun the interior by applying Aviattic reverse four color Lozenge. I still need to paint the wood grain and tubing. By the way the lozenge is applied where it will be seen after assembly.
