Now, how does one paint those wing pieces without losing that amazing transparency?

Amazing looking model, I thought the Albatros BII was something special but that Taube is a piece of art.

well the whole wing was translucent so you are going to need to go Trompe l'oeil anyway

Awesome :)
I think I saw someone post that another Fokker D.VII is coming out also. An early, but while I know there are different companies I do not know what a early model entails.

My poor wallet , I want all these kits . I need a better job or win the lottery or something. Got so much I need to build as it is though. Hopefully this won't be out for a year at least

I think it's just an excuse to re-box a sold-out kit. The original 'Fok' boxing had the early cowls included.

Yep, I agree. This may go some way to over-riding the smallish production runs they have, just chuck the sprues in another box with some new decals and perhaps a different engine sprue.

Good business for them, and allows them to get the cash to make stuff like the Taube.

Are the wheels PE or cast metal? I'm guessing the kit will be quite pricey if it is the latter...has any pricing info been released?

Guessing the wheels are same / similar to those on the Alb B.II -- PE.  They build up pretty ok.

Pricing -- no announcements AFAIK, but this was a big plane! And who knows whether they will include linen decals, etc...

My guess is $129...
