Special Hobby 1/35 7.5cm Mountain Gun
« on: January 29, 2017, 04:41:52 AM »
Just finished this fun little non-aircraft project.  It's a 1/35 WWI Austro-Hungarian 7.5cm Mountain Gun by Special Hobby.
Besides being a nice break from the usual aircraft builds it gave me a chance to play with some weathering techniques I don't normally use such as chipping and dot filtering.
For the display, I used a Mig AMMO scenery mat cut to fit a 4" x 6" walnut-finish base purchased on Amazon.

Beautifully done Eric, the gun looks superb and the base is excellent, the rocky terrain really fits the scene.

Thanks for the kind words guys!  FYI, the base required little effort.  All I had to do was cut the mat to shape and glue it to the base!
I have no experience in making groundwork (though those who do say it's easy) so I took the easy way with one of the Mig AMMO mats (made by Model Scene).  :)
