Morane-Saulnier L type//Eduard//1:48
« on: January 24, 2017, 07:05:28 PM »
Hello,
Base on great threads done by xan and Edo I would like to start mine adventure with MS parasol type.
Sorry for not showing the inbox pics but I have already separated parts from the sprues, which I fact are rather the smaller parts of all kit. As the intention of manufacturer was to provide the “multimedia” kit, the bulk of it constitutes PE parts.
Have started with cockpit part adding some styrene bar, which should be visible after assembly. The rigging of frame was switched to the fishing line, which is not tightened at this step.  I have also tried to fit PE frame into the cockpit part and it seems to be properly measured.

regards
K

Yes!!! More French planes! I cannot wait to see that one finished and I'll follow closely.
Very promising start on these complex PE parts!

Nice to see another model being made of this venerable kit ,(and Aircraft). You have made a great start! I like your idea of replacing the PE wires with monofilament. It will look much better when tightened than the PE.

Is it my imagination or are there more 1/48 and 1/72 scale builds these days?
Lovely start so far. The interior looks very neat especially with mono being used rather than PE.

I'm very much looking forward to following this one, K.  What scheme will you be doing?

Great to see one of the lesser known French types. Excellent start too - looking forward to more.

I love the MS L but I was always slightly afraid of that kit ;) Maybe you can give me some courage to start one. Adding some styrene to the PE bits is a very good idea. You can count me as a part of the audience ;)
Best regards
