I rally like this - I have a GV in the roof - started but not finished. I can well imagine that you have used that amount of thread - these larger bombers really consume the stuff - even in this scale!

Hello everybody,
slowly but surely it goes to the end.
First, I installed the control cables. Since these must be much thinner than the tension wires, I used 0.05 millimeters of copper wire for this purpose. They were fixed with dilute wood glue. Despite the magnifying glass it was not easy. In addition, the propellers were painted in a wood tone, and the propeller hub improved with an etching part. The side guards on the fuselage near the propellers are also made of etched parts. At the end of this update a shot from above with the additional tank.

Next, it will go to the next, and probably last update with the MG's and still missing parts. Then the Gotha is only covered with a matt clear coat, and that should have been it.

Greetings from old Germany
Jürgen

Today there is the last update for this building report.
I start with the machine guns. The first two photos show the original Roden MG's.

There are a few details, but there is still a lot to improve. First I replaced the magazine with etching parts. Furthermore, the barrel was cut off and replaced by an etched part with an inner 0.6 mm brass tube. A crosshair was added to the barrel. The Parabellum MG also looks like a Parabellum MG. The MG was lacquered with Vallejo Black Metallic and wood brown.

Let us take the last two pictures. On the underside the missing bombs were added. Originally, I also wanted to use some etching parts here, but unfortunately I have broken the assembly. And since some of them are less than a millimeter in size, it was impossible to think of a repair.

Well friends, so the Gotha is finished. Soon there will be the Rollout in the gallery.
Thank you for your interest in this building report, and up to the next plane, then something bigger. Spad S.XIII in 1/24 (Merit) ;D

Lovely job. I admire your patience as I only applied half the rigging.
