Underside of top wing now complete with aileron controls and struts fitted. I'm debating whether I should decal the top wing before fitting as  I will have to do some work on it because the rigging will go through the top and will need to be sanded down and painted. Decisions decisions.

Two excellent updates - looking really good. If the wires are not going to go near to or through the markings then put the wires on after.

The upper control wires go through the markings. Rather foolishly I fitted the control horns on before hand so I either remove them or cut a hole in the decals to accommodate them. My dad always said time spent in reconnaissance was seldom wasted. He was right  :)

The top wing is now attached to the lower one and most of the struts are in place. I decided to put the outer ones by the nose on first as the inner ones need trimming to fit and it's easier to do it that way round. In hindsight I should've drilled out the forward recesses for the inner struts to make fitting easier and next time I will. Apart from the back single struts and the main wing ones all the rest require some fettling and trimming. The rigging is  in place and I will secure later.

This is really beginning  to look the part - not long before it is complete when it will be a stunner.

Slowly getting there. I took the rudder off before it got knocked off and vanished in the ether. I will fit it later when I do the final rigging in that area.

Totally agree with Rick's comment - am waiting to see this one complete.

PS. I am glad that someone else has the ability to knock bits off when working on what should be a near complete model!

More rigging done on the tail. I was going to wait to the end of the build but couldn't contain myself and in my rabid enthusiasm I used slightly heavy gauge than I'd have liked on the tail support wires. Footholds now attached to the fuselage.
