Lovely!

Hard to believe that's a 1/72nd interior.

Steve,
I have never had the results you have achieved trying to use PE interior framing. Outstanding work . Your seat and floor are terrific!

Thanks to all of you! I studied PrzemoL's photos of the frame work on his blue & red D.III posted a while back to get the idea of how it should look. Also, all of those nice photos of Koloman's plane during the building process really came in handy.

Wow, this is awesome:
A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster

I have vacation time that needs to be used before the end of the year, so I'm taking off from work for the rest of this week. This enables me to spend more time building for a few days.

Yesterday, I built the gas tank using Koloman's photos as reference.

Here it is in the frame. I also added the ammo bin & framework behind it for test fitting purposes.

Only a small portion of the Schwarzlose guns will be seen once the model is closed up, & my plans were to just add bits of plastic to represent them. But, as usual, I got a bit carried away. I worked on one last week, adding this & that, & ended up knowing that there was no way I was going to do all of this again on another one. So, I made a mold & cast some resin copies. Here are the copies with pieces of 0.011" wire inserted for the barrels. I took quite a few photos, but not many of looked too good because of the translucency of the resin on such small pieces.

Here they are after a wash of gray watercolor which made them show up in photos a bit more.

Ammo bin details & other interior details await that I hope to get to soon.

Thank you all, still a ways to go.

I see a few PE pieces bent out of shape during the test fitting of the guns, but those will be corrected.
