Morning,

Yes its a shame that HLJ/Beaver didn't fix the broken strut prior to it being displayed. Perhaps no one noticed it till it was to late?

The Camel that they had on display was the test shot that was on display at the NZ IPMS Nationals back in April. Back then that wasn't the final test shot, so there hasn't been any painted builds as of date.

I can assure you that the wait will be worth while for the Camel. Just remember how look it took to release the Fokker D.VII!

Thank god for different tastes! We're all in love with WW1 planes but nevertheless there's so much diversity. It would be boring without that   ;)

Well, at least they found their missing strut, and found time to slap some paint on the girl.

As nice as it looks it is not a kit that I am going to purchase, if they release a BE.2 that will be a different story.

Yes, it does look good but given the potential cost I'm going to take a rain check and have go at improving another Hobby craft version.

I'll keep my money for a Halberstadt should they bring one out  :D

I built the Academy version of the Camel - http://www.ww1aircraftmodels.com/page32.html -  and even though it need some work it turned out to be a really good looking model, I'm sure that your Hobby Craft kit will end up looking superb tug.

The Wingnuts Camel looks outstanding but my concern is how much ( or how little) of that detail will be visible when you join the fuselage and put the top wing on. Externally the Camel is a fairly ordinary design, the detail is all inside. Fingers still crossed they do a Camel night fighter with the two Lewis guns over the top wing and the re-designed fuselage.

That's a good bet considering their track record with the Alb and  D VII.

And yes it is a bit difficult to see into the Camel cockpit.

No negativity from me, will definitely get this.
One of them at least - there have got to be several boxings, surely?
But maybe, as with the D.VII, they won't all be available at once.; I (naively) hope they'll give us some idea about future variations when the first Camel is released.
Another reason not to jump in straightaway is that I very much hope Pheon have some fab alternative decals lined up(?).
