Sierrascale 1/72 AEG GIV

I got this, and a few others, several years ago from Sierrascale before the US post and package rates went through the roof. It proved to be a very enjoyable build with the potential for far greater detail than I managed. Used an early paint scheme in order to save the pocket a bit but a late war lozenge craft would certainly be worth another look. My favourite German bomber to date.

She turned out really well , love the camo scheme blends in nice with the base . What did you use for this ?

Thanks Bud, Ed and Terri. It's my first Sierrascale and I was quite impressed. The base is a liner used in hanging baskets. It was in the sale at the local cheap shop.

A very impressive looking model Steve, it looks larger than 1:72 scale.

Thanks Des and Ian.

Thanks for the offer but I'll pass. I've seen a photo of one laid out for sale and very little seemed to match the opposite side. Having said that I've built the Merlin Pfalz Dr1 which wasn't bad and I have the Junkers J1 which looks as if it should go together ok.

how cool to see this one built! The AEG is my most favoured German bomber too.

Another of your wonderful builds Steve. You seem to be as good with the vacuforms as you are at converting or scratch building - a true all round modeller. Excellent choice of subject too and the camouflage scheme is a change form the lozenge.
