Andreas!  How is it possible that you are building these two exquisite models while at the same time sculpting and constructing such a remarkable diorama?!  You are a modeling machine, my dear young friend!
Cheers,
Bud

Hello friends,

thank you very much for your kind comments, they are really appreciated! It's quite a while now since I had been on this but now I felt the need to go on with them. My next step was the Mercedes D II engines. The fit is a dream. on my engine I used the aftermarked resin parts from Taurus. Painting was done with the use of Uschi van der Rostens metallic polishable pigments shot with the airbrush (cool stuff!).

That's the progress so far, but sadly I had to realize that I run out of spark plugs.... So bearing the 30% discount in mind I ordered immediately some more parts for future projects at Taurus'. Of course, these engines would look fine without these aftermarket parts, but it's a joy to use them and as the kit didn't make any chalenges until now I have to look for another way to make my life difficult - some tiny tiny resin parts.... :)
Best wishes

Looks great. But I have nothing else expacted from you  ;D
Do you know if the Uschi pigments are resistant to enamel products? They look the same way like AK True Metal waxes, wich blend and wash off when treated with a wash or engine grime effects.

I don't know how I have missed this thread Borsos but I won't from now on in  ;) (I guess it's because there are just so many great posts and simply not enough time to peruse them all).

I've just read through from the start. Superb work indeed - inside and out - simply terrific result on the woodwork and two of 'em to boot. Just excellent :)

Looking forwards to your further progress from here on

Thank you very much for your kind words, friends!

Manni, Ihad no problems when using AK enamel washes on these engines.

Meanwhile I added the engines to the fuselage. Some dust and some grease added... the front Part isn't glued on yet

Best wishes
