Many thanks for your support, Bud, Guy and Rick, it means a lot to me!

A few days ago I decided to make myself happy and got me a new airbrush gun, the Harder & Steenbeck Infinity. It is a great tool, but I still have to gain practice with it.

I played around with it today and tried to make preshading on the lower surfaces. I used Drooling Bulldog Umbraun, which works great even with the 0,15 mm nozzle (hope this is the right word...) thanks to the very fine pigment.

Afterwards I took 1500 sandpaper and slightly sanded the ribs to let the white colour show through.

Will see what it will look once I give it a coat of canvas.

Cheers

Missed some of the recent thread here. This is really coming on exceptionally well. I truly admire your patience and skill with this -= and now you are spray painting it too. Are there no limits?

Awesome progress Ondra, still cannot believe the size of this kit.  Truly amazing work you've got going here.

Many thanks for following the build and for your kind comments, Rick, Stephen and Juan!

Yesterday I gave the lower surfaces a coat of Drooling Bulldog pale cream yellow. The preshading is rather subtle, but I wanted to avoid overdoing the effect. Nevertheless, it is more visible than it seems on the photos.

I also started experimenting with the yellowish PC 10 on the wheels and the fuselage axis. I will have to rework it, as it looks way too dark for this scale.

This weekend I reworked the lower surfaces, as the preshading on the previous version was too subtle and would most likely disappear after weathering techniques. I also added the PC 10 outlines, masked by hand. Far from perfect and at some spots I had to retouch it with oil paint, but the result looks acceptable.

I also started working on the Foster mount for the Lewis gun.

Unfortunately one of the tailplanes has broken, so I will have to make it new. Nevermind, that's life.

That Foster mount is just incredible!! I can hardly see it even with a microscope. Amazing modelling skill.

Many thanks for your generous comments and for your support, Stephen, Rick and Borsos!

I decided to use the prolonged Easter weekend to move on with the build.

I reworked the preshading on the fuselage as well as on upper surfaces, this time I used the Drooling Bulldog Umbraun for the preshading:

Unfortunately I was only able to place this one photo from the photobucket and then the site ceased to respond...

Therefore more photos will be posted in the following posts.
