Working with a brush on something that small may be difficult for you…. I cannot write for others but I can tell you it would be nearly impossible for me!

Stephen.

I agree completely, at least for my own hand painting skills! Well done Ondra!

Many thanks for your encouragement, Stephen, Juan and Rick!

Yesterday I made a ritual I use on every build - I just sit down and keep looking at the parts I have made so far.

I am pretty satisfied with the fuselage as well as with most of the small parts and MG's. But in case of the wings I had to admit that they are not up to the standard I want to have on my model. So I will start over and make them new.

Many thanks to Sergey for the yellowish PC 10 he sent me, can't wait to try it out!

Cheers

Well, time to seek new ways of doing things. :)

The method I want to try for the wing ribs is not completely new - I want to make the ribs using masks and surfacer. Several thin coats should do the job.

As I want to reach as much accuracy as possible, I had to refresh my memories on drawing in Corel, I am curious to see if my plotter can deal with it in this size.

Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)

Cheers

I am also looking forward to seeing what you do with the drawings. I thought the original wings looked great!

Thanks for following, Stephen and Rick!

When you want to make the God laugh, tell him you have a plan. :)

It took me all Friday evening and most of Saturday to make my plotter cooperate with my computer, but eventually I succeeded.

I cut the masks for the wings, quite surprisingly to me already the second try was successful. So I made a fit test on a flat piece of styrene. It looks quite useable so far, will see how it will work with the surfacer.

Not much to report lately, I made new wings using a jig to achieve the correct dihedral.

I also added a few details to the Lewis MG and it looks acceptable.

Masks for the wing ribs were cut on my plotter and I tested their application on the tailplanes.

Many thanks for your support, Rick and Terri!

I spent most of the weekend on masking the lower surfaces. Actually it is more difficult than I imagined at the beginning, but it is getting better as I am gaining practice.

Masking was followed by several coats of Gunze Surfacer. Now I will leave it to cure until next weekend and then I will reveal the result.

Cheers

Beautiful work, I would need glasses made out of two magnifying glasses just to see the parts.  Lovely   ;D
