Pfalz Dr.I Jasta 73 Ltn. Fritz Anders in 1:48
« on: July 31, 2015, 05:46:07 AM »
Pfalz Dr.I was next prototypes still a small series of about 10 airplanes built and used at least in the Jasta 73.
This aircraft has the serial number 222/17 and was flown from Ltn. Fritz Anders. Whether he scored victories I do not know.
The model is no longer manufactured by Copper State Models at the time and is a resin kit in 1:48 scale.
In addition, there are several other parts are used as the MG`s from Gas Patch, engine of Karaya and still up some of the grab bag.
An amuntion box and ground is already prepared.
With a fuselage shell I have the Resin thinned and started the hood to change.

  Martin,
I remember this little kit, oddly though I can't remember ever seeing it build up. However with my sometimes faulty memory I'm likely wrong. At any rate I'm looking forward to seeing you work your magic with this latest project.

It appears to be a fairly good kit Martin and in your hands it will turn out to be another of your gems, looking forward to seeing you progress with this one.

Great start Martin! The cowling is looking great . The thinner fuselage should give a much more realistic look to the interior!

Interesting as to how its looks are similar to the SSW, Martin!  I think you like pug noses. (Désolé, je ne connais pas le mot en français ... il est argot, pour sûr!)

I don't know much about resin so will watch with interest, Professor.

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

You are a modeling machine, Martin! ;D  This looks like an
interesting build.  I will follow it happily as I've not done a
resin kit before.  Onward and upward, my friend. :D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

The hood is corrected. Must still filled and sanded.
Other thinned fuselage shell and lower wing of the fuselage part sanded slightly.
