Yet another museum masterpiece. You could charge admission to the display area.

Des, you say you are disappointed with the kit. However the finished article is incredible - the M.5 is a beautiful machine typical of Italian engineering of the time and you really have brought it to life.

Incredible build.

Thank you James for your very kind remarks. The reason I purchased and built this kit is because the Macchi M.5 has always been one of my favorite aeroplanes, such beautiful lines. It was just a shame that HpH didn't take it that little bit further and add the details that are needed. I'm hoping that the Macchi M.7 that Ron is working on will be a real gem when released.

I must admit I was very tempted to break a promise to myself (only 1 genre and from only one brand.) and purchase the HpH Macchi M.5 as it truly is a work of mechanical art - however after reading your build log I now realise it was the right decision not to, if an artist as yourself that built and incredible rendition found it challenging and frustrating I think it would have been way beyond my own skill level.

You should be very proud of this build!

Oh, I have missed this last post.
Looks really great, as always, when you put you hands on a kit. ;)
