Fokker E.III Revell 1/72
« on: July 18, 2013, 01:28:59 AM »
Watching beautifully made by Dirk model Fokker E.II  I wanted to have the same ;)
Unfortunately, in my stash was just an old set Revell 1/72, I can try to do something with it, even though I know it will not be easy  ???
I want to make a plane flown by Ernst Udet winter 1915-1916

This is the whole cockpit by Revell  ;D

I made a box to hold empty cartridges and shuttlecock.

Wow, Jacek!  That control column is amazing, especially in 1/72 scale.  That ammo can is brilliant, as well.
Cheers,
Bud

Nice choice Jacek.

About that old Revells model... a few time ago i started a Fokker E.I from HR Model, a resin one, but the errors and the detail of the model... or better... the lack of it, made me put it aside. I was lookink for an easy build!

To see Fred will to go back to his Albatros , Dirks Fokker and now yours made me want to go back to it! So i'll thank you gentleman for that.

Cheers.

P.S. - Now... where did i hide it?? ;D Still raging with myself for that!  ::)

Hello Jacek:

Your efforts will certainly enhance this ancient kit.  So far it all looks good, will be fun to see you progress through this build.

It's hard to make a good photo of the hull interior

I was left still do ignition switch and the RPM indicator.
I converted the pilot's seat over again and added belts

Extraordinary job on the cockpit, Jacek.  Especially given what you started with and the scale.  Amazing.
Cheers,
Bud

Very nice Jacek, should be a little stunner when it's done!
This was the first kit I built when I decided to get back into modelling about 2 1/2 years ago - I now have an Eduard Profipac one which will eventually replace it in my collection - the comparison should be interesting!
