An advance to my birthday next month and a bit of my own savings... instead of a new (wnw) kit, a bunch of Aviattic Lozenge decals in 1/72 and 1/32 for stuff I already have.
I think the pre-sized 1/72 Fokker DVII wing decals witg rib-tapes will increase the throughput time signifiantly! :)

This isn't so much about the acquisition itself per se as I realise they are pretty low down on the scale kit wise but the fact that after expressing an interest in obtaining another Hobby Craft updated version I was generously offered a gift of one by member 'Kornbeef'.

Not only that but Keith PM'd later to say he also had a 'few bits' of the Academy one as well and would I like him to 'throw them in'. On the basis that they might come in useful it was a case of 'please do'

Well, a nice package arrived yesterday and inside were these two boxes ....

...but that top box is a mite misleading as not only does it contain a 'few bits', it contains enough for three complete models  :o.

Keith, your kindness is outstanding - my sincere thanks for your generosity. It goes without saying - 'I owe you one'

This morning I popped into Hannants for the 2F.1 book as I saw that it had 1/32 drawings included. Have to say it's an excellent production and certainly adds to the other datafile I had. The Nieuport adds to the first volume I had too - couldn't resist it  ;)

So now I'm set up for another Camel build and, despite their reputation, taking a good look at those Academy parts I think with  with a fair degree of detail removal and reshaping there should be the makings of another - maybe that ships version perhaps.

All I need do is get the decorating I have promised my wife I'd do out of the way and I can get going - ah pass me that roller dear!

My thanks indeed Keith  :)

Regards - Tug

Couldn't resist any longer; the last one of those that interest me, that means a) with wheels - sorry folks, but that's more Hansa Brandenburgs and Felixstowes for you - and b) birds that saw battle - no training machines and no postwar stuff. That's the reason why the snipe had to wait so long.
Come on Wingnut Wings, now it is time for new releases! :)

The Snipe is my favorite WNW build to date, as far as fit and ease of construction! I am looking forward to seeing you work your magic on this one!

Last weekend The Capitol Classic 2016 was presented by Austin Scale Modeler's Society. I was there with my local club the Cen-Tex Modelers. It was an excellent contest and vendor's section as well. So here what I took back to Killeen late that night.

 First the Off Topic goodies:

And for a little touch of Italian,

 And the On Topic additions:

Thank goodness for the bargain tables and raffle tickets. Thanks for looking.

 Terri and Des,
Thank you both my old friends. The buying of the two armor kits is something different for me. May have something to do with all the Track Heads being members of Cen-Tex.

Thanks to the space made by my dumping of the Camel's humps on Tug I just ordered the new 1/35th ICM Model T ambulance with a view to seeing what it could be modded into easily (or used to make the group build Dio), will post my thoughts when it arrives.

I got this kit on Sunday, ordered it on Saturday.  I only paid 16.06 for it with free shipping and as soon as I bought it the price jumped up to 29.01.  Amazon prime.
the whole fuselage is clear.
