That's a lovely model, Dagmar, some great and artistic effects, it really does look very used! Your modelling is incredibly neat though, with some really lovely colour choices... Regards, Marc
-
Extremely well done Dagmar, you have done a superb job with the weathering.
Des.

Top marks on your build and weathering. Head of the class!!

As Des and Juan said: top class modelling with extremely well executed weathering. I am deeply impressed.

I prefer a well weathered finish on my models as well, very nicely done and your detailing is excellent!
Cheers,

Beautiful work, Dagmar. I'm normally very cautious about weathering but think you have achieved a great balance.
Best wishes

She's gorgeous, Dagmar! I love the scheme and your weathering is superb.

You have achieved just the right amount of "dirt" in my opinion. It is all too easy to get this wrong - you have got it just right!

Great colours and a top weathering. A complete new style in my eyes, very attractive. Every thing feels "right" when I look at this model.
Chapeau,
Manni

You mind sharing a little what you used for the excellent weathering? Chalks, oils? Like others have stated it's extremely well done especially where the fabric is over the metal fuselage parts.

Great job on the weathering. This has definitely shown me a new skill that I need to learn.
-
Thanks Charlie and Philip!
Weathering is done with a combination of soft pastels, oils and acryls applied in different layers.
-
Something to aspire to. Great results and pics. Thanks for sharing.

Superb weathering. One of my next projects is the Eduard Fokker D-VII in 1/48th. You've given me some great
ideas that I need to try on that project. Thanks!

Wow! this is best VII I have ever seen.
Love your weathering ! Top quality & final result

Thanks Rich, Tim and "K", really appreciated!

Great paint job! It really looks like it's been "through the war". :) Your finish techniques are top notch.
It hard for me to imagine the German mechanics that would let their Jasta Commander's aircraft deteriorate into such poor condition. :-\
Also, most experts believe that the striped tailplane in not correct and just speculation on Eduard's part as there are no known photographs of Franz Buchner's plane showing the stripes. I think the general consensus is that it was the same shade of blue as the fuselage.

Agree with all the above compliments !!!

Thank you Chuck and Ed for your feedback!

I like that a lot, very nicely done!
