I tried to pick up a gearbox and have done my back in - again!
What's more, I knew I shouldn't have been trying to pick it up in the first place
Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn!

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Richard, I know exactly what you are going through so complete rest is the answer, hope you recover quickly.

So do I Des! I have work to do
I usually split these gearboxes to make them lighter, I was in a hurry

Rest, rest and more rest is the order of the day, Richard, together with a good amount of relaxation.
Get better soon

As a fellow back sufferer and one who is also impatient you have my complete sympathy. I do hope that it gets better quickly - the win prevents concentration and spoils just about everything.

Bad news. I also cross my fingers for you. Twice in my life I had a lumbago and it was awful...

Hi Richard, that sounds miserable. I hope you do all the good things - rest, physio, followed by gentle mobilization and pain meds if you need... All The Best, Marc

I took some action immediately, and it has paid off. I am pretty much back in action now. That's unusual for me, it generally takes a week or two to get over back problems
Thanks for your kind words, everyone

Great to hear you are on the mend Richard, but still take it very easy for a while yet. My last back injury put me in hospital for 4 days, not very pleasant.
